I am a hotel pianist based in Devon and a self-published author. My love of both music and writing began as a child though it is only in later life that I have been able to pursue them more fully.

I have written a memoir about my work as a Civil Servant when I was a VAT inspector, and I am currently writing two more memoirs: one about my childhood growing up in Birmingham in the 1960s, and the other is a travel memoir about the holiday adventures I’ve had with my disabled husband, Don.

  • A fantastic book, which takes the reader on an amazing journey and delves into many the many lives and experiences of the ‘VAT Inspector’. An important historical record to refer back to that will grow in its value over time.

  • Dawn Fallon is one of the most talented writers I've read. She has taken what could have been a very pedestrian account of this occupation and crafted an entertaining, page-turning action packed read.
